| Abstract: | The harlequin ladybird, Harmonia axyridis (PALLAS, 1773), native to the eastern Palaearctic,
appeared in Munich in 2006 and 2007 after the first record in 2003. A brief summary of its dispersal
in Europe and Germany is given, its phenology is compared to other native coccinellid species and
possible negative effects on the native fauna are discussed.
